Master Yuantong Liu began studying a traditional form of Qigong at the age of 8, and then later learned Zhineng Qigong. For the last 20 years he has been practicing Zhineng Qigong, and was a teacher at the Hua Xia Qigong Center, also known as the Medicine-less Hospital, for 10 years. He has also taught in Tibet and Sweden.

In 2010 and 2011 Master Yuantong Liu visited the Zhigong Institute in the Netherlands and inspired many European students.In 2011 more than 100 students came to see him during the 12-day workshop in Epe. His Healing Circles in the evening were soon known throughout the country and many people traveled to Epe to participate.
